CHRISTCHURCH GRAVEYARD INSCRIPTIONS

Christ Church, School Road, Yardley Wood, Birmingham B14 has a very large graveyard still in use today. I have taken a few inscription from the front of the church graves and hope to add to them in the future. May be they will be of use to someone.

In affectionate remembrance of/JANE/relict of the late/C A LINE/(of Alum Rock)/who died March 3rd 1869/aged 75 years./Also Sarah Hargreave/sister of the above/who died July 24th 1869/aged 69 years.

In/affectionate remembrance/of/Joseph Beardmore/who died October 31st 1860/aged 49 years./In /affectionate remembrance of/Sarah, the beloved wife of the late/Joseph Beardmore, who departed this life April 5th 1866/aged 56 years./In loving memory of/Joseph/second son of the late Edwin Beardmore/died October 9th 1887/aged 26 years./In loving memory of/Edwin/eldest son of the late/Joseph Beardmore/died June 14th 1887/aged 52 years.

In/affectionate remembrance of/John Hargreave (of Yardley Wood) who died July 11th 1862/aged 64.

Sacred/to the memory of/Amy/the beloved child of/Theophilus and Theresa Bakewell/who died March 28th 1892/aged 20 years.

Sacred/ to the memory of/Louisa Silvester/who departed this life/February 21st 1860/aged 7 years.

In Loving Memory of/Mary/wife of David Kimberley/of Hartfield, Moseley/who died January 10th 1893/aged 73 years/Into thine hand I commit my spirit./Also of/John Kimberley/who died May 1st 1896/aged 46 years/In the midst of life we are in death./Also of David Kimberley/Beloved husband of the above/who died February 5th 1904/aged 83 years/peace perfect peace.
